Service Levels
Matrix physicians are dedicated to serving the needs of long-term
care residents. Our physicians:
•
Visit facilities on a set schedule according to patient and facility
needs. Visits take place during normal business hours to maximize
the interaction with facility nursing staff, patients and families;
•
Work collaboratively with the nursing staff;
•
Communicate with resident families;
•
Provide courteous, responsive, and professional after-hours call
services “24/7”
•
Participate in facility medical staff meetings
•
Receive continuing training on long term care and participate in the
Matrix Quality Improvement (QI) and Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Programs;
•
Work closely with area hospitals to assure continuity of care and to
improve the working relationship between the long-term care provider
and the acute care communities;
•
Assist a facility in caring for more complex patients, which can
increase the attractiveness of the facility to managed care payors
and area hospitals.
